Hey everyone (aka my three silly subscribers), this is my first "Foodie" post so give me some feedback if you have it. Today, I'm going over my FAVORITE FOUR places you can experience some serious noms in the Scottsdale-ish area. If you click on the names and it will lead you to their site. YAY! : )
1) The Mission Old Town- Old Town Scottsdale, AZ
1...2...3 TEQUILA. This place was one of my FAV four not because I like tequila (I hate it) but because it challenged me to taste it and LICK the Himalayan Salt wall. Yes, I said lick and that's not a typo. Also, any place that makes fresh organic guacamole right in front of my face will always have a special place in my heart. Sooo if you like a challenge, tequila and/or the best modern Latin cuisine in Old Town, I would suggest looking no further than The Mission.
2) MATCH Cuisine & Cocktails - Downtown Phoenix, AZ
A secret gem found inside the modern upscale FOUND:RE Phoenix hotel is honestly to die for. When you first walk in you'll see a large mural of a naked man and your first thoughts will be "this place is weird af. I'm NEVER trusting a millennial blogger ever again/they MUST sell 12 dollar signature cocktails here." WRONG they have the nicest (non-hipster) bartenders AND the happiest hour known mankind. $4 mimosas ALL SUMMER LONG, Mai Thai Mondays (YAAS), $3 Taco Tuesdays, & 1/2 Wine Wednesday (say no more).
3) Bottled Blonde - Old Town Scottsdale, AZ
This lively bar (not really a restaurant, although, there's PIZZA) is located in Old Town Scottsdale and it's one of my favorites for two reasons:
A. Being a blonde I'm completely bias towards anything that has to do with my hair.
B. I love to be given expensive drinks by girls who are 10X's prettier than me (kidding)(or am I?).
In all seriousness, this place is "lit" for any girls night out or Birthday party! They do this sparkler/firework thing inside the building (danger is fun) and the employees just dance around you like your traditional Cherokee Indian at a rave. So if you want to experience a Bouji Burning Man sensation (with hotel accommodations close by instead of tents) shake it off at Bottle Blonde.
4) Salt Cellar Restaurant - Scottsdale, AZ
Okay, this bar looks like a total dive (aka the restroom you would find at the zoo's polar bear exhibit) and you might think "the occupancy of this restaurant is 5 guests MAX". However, it will surprise you once you've walked down the stairs (underground). You'll feel like your on a fancy old wooden yacht with white linen table cloths and those mini glass jars with ships in them everywhere. Try an oyster shot while your at the Salt Cellar, even if you don't like spicy bloody Mary's or seafood...you'll still probably hate it just like I did but my seafood-loving boyfriend was so impressed by me so it was worth it. So at least try it for the sake of peer pressure, your bucket list and sounding worldly.
WOW thanks for reading all of that ^ and for taking advice from such a silly person. Let me know what YOUR favorite four places in Scottsdale are and you might win a meal at one of these places!
